(Milwaukee, WI) - The MCHA announced its weekly awards for contest played January 15-17 and Marian's Chris Thompson (Woodbury, MN) was honored as the Player-of-the-Week. After a one goal/one assist game Friday, in which it was noted that he started on the fourth line, he earned a start on Saturday. He responded with an impressive performance, adding four more points (1G/3A) in Saturday's sweep to get the Sabres one point closer in the division. For the weekend, he was +4 and did not take a penalty.

Thompson, a sophomore forward, has played in all 13 games for the Sabres (7-6, 6-2 MCHA) this season and has recorded 8 points (2G/6A).
