(Fond du Lac, WI) - Lake Forest College showed why they are on top of the NCHA standings on Friday evening, as they upended Marian University 6-0. The Foresters are an impressive 12-2-2 overall and 6-1-2 in the NCHA. Marian fell to 2-12 overall and 1-6-0 in the conference.
The Foresters outshot the Sabres 44-7 in the contest. They scored twice in the first, three times in the second and added a goal in the third to close out the scoring.
The Foresters were 2-for-5 on the power play, while Marian finished 0-for-4.
Rosy Fujimoto and Denise Perez both had two goals in the contest. Kim Herring also registered her 22nd goal of the season. Herring is the top scorer in NCAA Division III. She also added an assist.
Marian's Melissa Calder (Fort Frances, ON) recorded 38 saves in the contest.
