The Sabres have now won five-in-a-row, which is their longest winning-streak of the season and are 10-6 overall and 9-2 in the MCHA.
Marian led 4-1 with less than ten minutes to play in the contest, but the Falcons fought back and scored three times in just over five minutes to tie the game.
Thompson finished the contest with two goals and finished the series with three goals. Thompson, last week's MCHA Player-of-the-Week, finished this week with four goals in three games. He has scored all six of his goals this season in the last five contests.
