Sabes fall in overtime

Box Score (Mequon, WI) - Concordia-Wisconsin snapped Marian's three-game winning streak on Wednesday, as they upended Marian 2-1 in overtime. The Sabres are now 8-5 overall and 7-3 in the Northern Athletics Conference. 

Marian struck first in this one as Jade Koeune (Winneconne, WI) found the back of the net at the 9:54 mark in the first. Hailey Wisner (Sussex, WI) assisted on the tally. 

Concordia's Becky Ott evened things at the 32:41 mark off an assist from Abby Hoeflich. 

Both teams defenses were up to the test the rest of regulation and the game went into overtime tied 1-1. 

It didn't take long for the Falcons to score the game-winner in overtime as Lauren Straehler scored just 2:37 in to move the Falcons to 7-7-1 overall and 4-4-1 in the NAC. 

Tiffany Erdman (Wausau, WI) recorded ten saves in the contest.

Marian is back in action again on Saturday, as they will host Aurora University. Action is set to begin at 2:30 PM.
