Box Score (Fond du Lac, WI) - Marian University dropped their season opener on Friday evening against Saint Mary's University 5-0. The Cardinals scored once in the first and twice in the final two periods for the victory. 

Haley Coolsaet led the Cardinals with a pair of goals, while Nicole Olson added a pair of assists. 

Marian's Melissa Calder (Fort Frances, ON), Jalan Jaskot (Lake St. Louis, MO), and Kaytlin Ruzicka (Wauconda, IL) combined for 23 saves. 

The Cardinals out-shot Marian 28- in the contest.
