(Appleton, WI) - Marian University defeated Lawrence University for the second straight season with a 63-55 victory on Monday evening. The Sabres had three players in double-figures and played solid defense, forcing the Vikings into 25 turnovers.
After giving up the opening basket, the Sabres never trailed in the contest. They took a 35-24 lead into the locker room.
In the second, Marian's lead was cut to five points with over twelve minutes to play, but that was as close as Lawrence would get.

Alexis Becker (North Fond du Lac, WI) each poured in 15 points, while
Elizabeth Zutz (Valders, WI) recorded 12 points. Zutz also led the team with 8 rebounds.
Both teams shot 38% in the contest, while Lawrence outrebounded Marian 44-35.
The Sabres are back in action again on Wednesday against Concordia-Wisconsin. They will look to avenge last week's four-point loss to the Falcons.
