(Fond du Lac, WI) - Marian University trailed just 30-28 at the break on Tuesday evening, but ended up falling to Edgewood College 65-46. The Sabres shot just 29% from the field in the second and are now 1-4 overall and 0-1 in the Northern Athletics Conference. The Eagles are now 3-3 overall and 1-1 in the conference.
The first half was back-and forth much of the way as there were seven lead changes as well as five ties. Marian came out strong and led 11-3 early, but the Eagles were able to come back and take the two-point lead at the break.
Marian evened the game on the first possession of the second, but Edgewood went on a 17-4 run over the next eight minutes to grab control of the contest.

Sam Forkert (Sister Bay, WI) as he poured in 12 points and pulled down 6 rebounds.
Cody Veleke (Oakfield, WI) had a solid evening, posting 9 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 blocks.
Colin Lohenry (Algoma, WI) also pulled down 7 rebounds.
Marian shot just 29% (16-for-55) in the contest, while Edgewood shot 41% (22-for-54).
