(Adrian, MI) - Marian University scored with just 1:04 to play on Saturday and defeated Adrian College 5-4. With the victory, the Sabres snapped Adrian's 56 game winning streak in the MCHA. It also snapped Adrian's 30 game home winning streak. 

Marian (4-1, 3-1 MCHA) fell behind 2-0 early in the first, but gathered themselves nicely. Justin Cormier (Calgary, AB) scored a short-handed goal at the 11:07 mark and then Matt Brown (Calgary, AB) scored on the power play in the 14th minute. 

Each team scored one goal in the second, with Marian's coming from Brendan Roberts (Calgary, AB). 

Adrian scored first in the third to take a 4-3 lead. Brendan Hull (Calgary, AB) evened the game once again at the 6:32 mark. Then, with just 1:04 left, Marian's Mike McCurtain (Eagle River, AK) picked a great time to score his first collegiate goal, as he scored the game-winner. 

Marian out-shot Adrian 30-27 in the contest.

Josh Baker (Canton, MI) earned his first collegiate victory, recording 23 saves. 

Marian is still the only team to defeat Adrian in conference play. They also beat the Bulldogs November 30, 2007.
