(Mequon, WI) - Concordia University-Wisconsin was able to hang on for an 82-79 victory Wednesday evening at John Buck Fieldhouse. The Sabres had a last-second three-point attempt, but could not convert. The Sabres are now 1-6 overall and 0-3 in the NAC. 

Concordia (6-1, 4-0 NAC) jumped out to an early 12-0 lead, but the Sabres were able to come back and pull within 39-36 at the break. 

In the second, the teams were evenly matched, with both scoring 43 points. The Sabres shot 53.6% (15-for-28) in the half, but it wasn't enough. 

Both teams pulled down 38 rebounds and Marian out-shot the Falcons (50.8%-40.3%) in the contest. The Falcons took advantage of Marian's 18 turnovers, while committing just 8 of their own. 

Zach Damrow (Hustisford, WI) scored a career-high 22 points, while also pulling down 7 rebounds. Damrow connected on 6 three-pointers. Donnahugh Brown (Negril, Jamaica) also had a career-high with 20 points. 

Edward Newton-Kemp led Concordia with 22 points.
