(Fond du Lac, WI) - UW-Superior won the opener of the weekend series against Marian University 6-0 on Friday. The Yellowjackets scored three times in both the first and second period to earn the victory. 

Teagan Cassan scored three points for the Yellowjackets, while Jodi Holland, Brittany Dunkel, Jasmine Pollack, Torrie Shelafoe, Shana Katz, and Brittany Bembeneck all added two points. 

The Yellowjackets outshot the Sabres 53-8 in the contest and finished 3-for-4 on the power play. Marian finished 0-for-7. 

Kaytlin Ruzicka (Wauconda, IL) finished with 38 saves in two periods.
