Danielle Donnermeyer (La Grange, IL) each scored a pair of goals on Saturday as Marian defeated Concordia University-Chicago 5-0. Kriese also added an assist. Marian is now 2-2 overall and 1-0 in the Northern Athletics Conference.
Marian scored first in this one, as they received some help from the Cougars. Marian's first goal was an own goal as a pass deflected off a Cougar defender at the 23:03 mark.
Just over four minutes later, Kriese scored her first goal of the game to make it 2-0.
Kriese then made it 3-0 early in the second, as she scored at the 49:53 mark off an assist from
Mollie Tennessen (Kaukauna, WI).
The rest of the scoring came from Donnermeyer, as she scored in the 60th and 86th minutes. Kriese assisted on the first goal, while
Sara Weyer (Kewaskum, WI) assisted on the second.
Marian out-shot the Cougars 25-5 in the contest.
Tiffany Erdman (Wausau, WI) picked up the shutout victory, stopping four shots.
Marian is back in action on Wednesday, as they will play at Lakeland College. Action is set to begin at 4:30 PM.
