Kriese breaks record in Marian's victory

Box Score (Fond du Lac, WI) - Kim Kriese (Stevens Point, WI) broke the career goals mark at Marian on Saturday in Marian's 5-0 victory at Smith Fields. Marian is now 5-3 overall and 4-1 in the Northern Athletics Conference. 

Kriese scored her 59th career goal at the 7:38 mark to break Jenn Stolte's record, which she set in 1999. She then scored again at the 10:24 mark to give Marian a 2-0 lead. Taylor Hozeska (Hartford, WI) assisted on the goal. The assist was the start of a six-point day for Hozeska. Kriese now has ten goals on the season.

Leading 2-0, Jade Koeune (Winneconne, WI) scored at the 60:34 mark off an assist from Hozeska to make it 3-0. 

Hozeska then scored her fifth and sixth goals of the season later in the half to make it 5-0. 

Tiffany Erdman (Wausau, WI) and Jordan Dykstra (Cedar Grove, WI) combined for the shutout. 

Marian held the Regents without a shot in the contest, while firing off 27 of their own. 

The Sabres are back in action again on Wednesday, as they will host MSOE. Action is set to begin at 7:00 PM.
