(Fond du Lac, WI) - Marian University made things interesting for awhile on Tuesday evening at Sadoff Gymnasium, but eventually fell 62-47 to Wisconsin Lutheran College. The Warriors flexed their muscle down-low in this one, out-rebounding Marian 49-31. The Warriors remain in first place in the NAC North, improving to 14-3 overall and 9-2 in the NAC. Marian is now 10-8 overall and 5-8 in the NAC.
Trailing 20-7 with 9:32 left in the first half, Marian went on a 15-0 run to take a 22-20 lead with 4:03 left. The Warriors eventually took a 26-22 lead into halftime.
The Warriors built an eleven-point lead in the second, but Marian got to within two with 6:38 to play. That was all the closer the Sabres would get however, as the Warriors showed why they are the conference leaders.
