(Stevens Point, WI) - UW-Stevens Point defeated Marian University 5-0 on Friday in the opener of the weekend series. The Pointers out-shot Marian 30-11 and scored in all three periods. 

The Pointers scored once in the first and twice in both the second and third periods to move to 10-6-1 overall. Marian is now 0-17-1. 

Five different players scored goals for UWSP in the contest. 

These two teams will meet up again tomorrow afternoon at 4:00 in Fond du Lac.
