(Fond du Lac, WI) - The Sabres dropped the finale of the weekend series with UW-Stevens Point on Saturday by a score of 4-1. The Pointers dominated play, out-shooting Marian 64-22, but Kaytlin Ruzicka (Wauconda, IL) had a strong showing in-between the pipes. She recorded 60 saves in the contest. 

The Pointers scored twice in both the first and second periods in this one. Erin Marvin led them with two goals. Sam Lorr and Sarah Dusold also added goals for the Pointers.

The Sabres came to life in the third, out-shooting the Pointers 15-14. Megan Sesing-Gomoll (Fond du Lac, WI) scored her first career goal at the 16:48 mark in the third. Her goal was a shorthanded tally. 

Marian travels to Finlandia University next weekend.
