Marian wins third straight

Box Score (Fond du Lac, WI) - Marian University made it three straight victories on Saturday with a 62-43 victory over Aurora University. The Sabres led the entire game and are now 8-5 overall and 4-5 in the Northern Athletics Conference. 

The Sabres held the Spartans to just 21% shooting in the first half and took a 31-19 lead into the break. Brooke Haen (Oakfield, WI) and Caitlin Siesco (Fredonia, WI) led Marian with 9 points apiece in the half. The Sabres hit eight 3-pointers in the half. 

In the second, the Sabres led by at least twenty points for much of the half and the game was never in doubt. 

Marian shot 38% (21-for-55) in the contest, while holding the Spartans to 25% (14-for-57). The Sabres out-rebounded Aurora 48-36 and connected on fourteen shots behind-the-arc. 

Elizabeth Zutz (Valders, WI) led all scorers with 15 points, while Haen finished with 14. Dani Huray (Little Chute, WI) and Alexis Becker (North Fond du Lac, WI)  finished with 11 points.

Huray led the team with 7 rebounds, while Zutz dished out 6 assists. 

Ashley Daniels led Aurora with 15 points.
