Marian led 24-16 with 6:03 to play in the first half, but then got out-scored 20-0 to close the half and trailed 36-24. They ended up falling 69-64.
In the second, Marian shot 55% from the field and cut the deficit to 50-49 with 11:17 to play, but never got over the hump. They could never get any closer than five points the rest of the way.
