(Sheboygan, WI) - Marian University went on the road on Thursday afternoon and dropped a pair of games to Lakeland College. The Sabres fell 11-2 in the first game and dropped the second game 9-4. Marian is now 3-12 overall and 2-4 in the Northern Athletics Conference.
In game one, the Muskies got out to an early lead and never looked back. They scored ten of their eleven runs in the first three innings of the five-inning contest. They out-hit Marian 17-4 in the game and had five players with at least two hits.

Aubrey O'Brien (Fond du Lac, WI) hit her first home run of the season in fourth inning for Marian.
In game two, Marian took a 1-0 lead in the first as
Jenna Whitehead (Kimberly, WI) hit a RBI double. The Muskies answered with two in the bottom of the inning and another one in the second to take a 3-1 lead. They then broke it open in the fourth with five runs.
Marian tried to rally in the fifth as they plated three runs, but it wasn't enough. O'Brien had a two-RBI double in the fifth.
The Muskies out-hit Marian 15-10.
Emilie Jansen (Kaukauna, WI), Emily Boehnlein (St. Cloud, WI), Nikki Ponticelli (Gurnee, IL) and Whitehead all had two hits for Marian.
The Sabres are back in action again on Saturday as they will host Wisconsin Lutheran College at Smith Fields. First pitch is scheduled for 12:00 PM.
