Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 (Fond du Lac, WI) - They took nearly six hours to complete, but Marian won a pair of exciting, extra-inning games on Saturday at Smith Fields. Marian won game one 4-3 in 13 innings and followed that up with an 11-7, comeback victory in 10 innings in game two.

In the opener, the Warriors plated a run in the top of the seventh off a wild pitch to force extra innings. The Warriors then scored a run in the top of the ninth. Marian answered in the bottom half of the frame off two hits and a Warrior error.

Marian finally was able to end things in the 13th as Kaitlin Jarvis was able to drive in Jenna Whitehead.

Cherise Waltz picked up the win as she went the distance. She gave up just eight hits, struck out eight and walked just one.

Emilie Jansen, Emily Boehnlein, Niki LaPlant and Whitehead all recorded a pair of hits.

Marian out-hit Wisconsin Lutheran 12-8.

Game two was full of drama as Marian scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh to force extra innings. Aubrey O'Brien, Nikki Ponticelli and Jarvis all drove in runs in the seventh.

O'Brien then came up with the biggest hit of the day, delivering a walk-off grand slam in the bottom of the tenth to move Marian to 5-12 overall and 4-4 in the Northern Athletics Conference.

Waltz picked up the win in relief as she gave up just one hit and no runs in her 5.2 innings of work.

Marian out-hit the Warriors 18-9 and were led by O'Brien. She was 4-for-5 with 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored. Ponticelli added 3 hits and a pair of RBIs, while Jansen, LaPlant, Jarvis and Sam Braun all had a pair of hits. Jarvis also drove in a pair.

Marian is back in action again tomorrow, as they will travel to MSOE.
