Box Score vs. Ripon
RIPON, Wis. (SabreAthletics.com) – The Marian University women's volleyball team won twice to open the Red Hawk Invitational, today, Sept. 23, defeating host Ripon College and UW-Marathon while pushing its win streak to four matches in the process.
The Sabres made quick work of their two opponents, needing just three sets to get past both on Friday night. Marian took care of Ripon handily, going away 25-20, 25-22 and 25-19 before dispatching UW-Marathon in similar fashion, 25-16, 25-21 and 25-15.
Marian improves to 6-10 overall after winning its fourth straight match - the longest since at least 2005 - and sixth in their last seven tries overall. The Sabres will jump back into action Saturday morning to take on St. Mary's at 10 a.m. and Coe College at 2 p.m.
