Wis. – Superior improved to 10-6-1 overall and 7-5-1 in NCHA play with the win. Marian dropped to 3-12-2 (2-8-2 NCHA) with the loss.

The Yellowjackets got on the board first in the first period as Hayley Epema, assisted by Kelsey Firkus, found the back of the net at the 2:27 mark. Sabre goalie, Amanda Alexander, saw 11 shots right away in the first period, compared to the two shots Megan Leikkari saw.

Again, the Sabres managed only two shots for the entire second period, but Amanda Waigand was able to make one of the two shots count.
