Tied at 19 apiece, Marian ended up closing the set with a 6-3 run, which ended on a Leah Hendricks attack error to give the Sabres a 25-22 set win an early 1-0 advantage for the match.
MSOE took a 2-1 advantage early in the second set, but the Sabres battled back to take a 16-11 lead following four straight points, which forced the Raiders to call timeout. Lamberty registered five kills in the set, while Jarvis added two of her team-leading six assisted blocks on the day as the Sabres cruised to a 25-20 set win.
