FOND DU LAC, Wis. (SabreAthletics.com) -- The Marian University men's soccer team jumps back into action tonight against Beloit in a 4:30 p.m. start. --
Last Time Out: Marian went 1-0-1 last week, highlighted by a 5-2 win over Buena Vista that saw senior David Reinke tally four goals, including three in a span of 2:32 before the 5:03 mark of the first half. An impressive win by the Sabres was followed up with a 2-2 draw to evenly-match St. Norbert, which was the first match-up between both teams since 1994. Junior goalkeeper Bryce Woldt made 10 saves in preserving the tie.

Peltonen Aims for 200th Win:
Head Coach Craig Peltonen will shoot for his 200th career victory on the men's side when the team's takes on Beloit Wednesday, Sept. 18. The 26th-year coach was inducted into the WSCA Hall of Fame in 2012. He entered the week with 293 combined victories after totaling 94 wins on the women's side from 1990-98 and 1999-2006.

Scouting the Buccaneers:
Beloit College returned eight letterwinners, including five starters this season and was picked to finish fourth in the Midwest Conference. However, so far the Buccaneers are looking to snap a three-game losing skid after dropping matches to NACC foes, Concordia Wisconsin, MSOE and Edgewood. That followed a season opening draw to Wisconsin Lutheran. Beloit lost its top-three goal scorers from a year ago and are still searching for production as it has just two goals through four games.

Raiding MSOE:
The Raiders return nine starters to a squad that finished with 14 wins a season ago and in a second-place tie in the NACC standings. Reigning NACC Player of the Week, Logan Andryk, scored four goals and added an assist in leading MSOE to a 2-0 week after wins over Beloit (4-1) and Lake Forest (1-0). Andryk earned All-American honors after a stellar freshman campaign in which he scored 14 goals and added nine assists.

A Flying Look at the Eagles:
Head Coach Tim Alexander became just the 17th coach to reach 500 career victories (men/women combined), achieving that feat last week. His men's squad entered the week riding a three-match winning streak after defeating St. Mary's, Beloit and Ripon. A busy week sees the Eagles take on St. Norbert and Concordia Chi. before facing off against the Sabres. No one stands out statistically as seven different players have scored for EC, but Andrew Aurit and Thini Messan lead the squad with four and three points, respectively.

Reinke's Start Fastest in Nation:
When the most recent NCAA Division III men's soccer statistics were released, David Reinke was second-to-none in goals per game. Through four matches, the San Jose native has averaged 1.75 goals per game, which ranks slightly ahead of Travis Vegter of Calvin (1.67 gpg) and Michael Darrow (Texas-Dallas) and Shane McCracken (McDaniel), who are tied for third with 1.60 gpg.
