Box Score MILWAUKEE - Marian University women's volleyball (3-16, 1-3 NACC) played tight with Wisconsin Lutheran but the Warriors were able to come away with the 3-1 victory with set scores of 25-21, 16-25, 25-19, and 25-22.
The Warrior offense started the match swinging as they recorded a hitting percentage of .289 with 14 kills. The Sabre defense was able to rebound in the second set to even the sets at one as they held Wisconsin Lutheran to a .021 hitting percentage and forced six errors.
The Warriors then made adjustments offensively and finished the match with 14 kills in the third set, and 15 kills in the fourth set to go with a .224 hitting percentage.
Jessica Roberts had a big night recording a match-high 18 kills with a .244 hitting percentage. Katrina Jansen had a match-high in digs with 23. Morgan Dercks followed Jansen with 15 digs, while Amber Baker and Catelyn Brehm each had 14 digs, and Emily Dreier found double-digits with 10. Baker also assisted on 34 of the 41 Sabre kills in the loss.
Marian returns home for a 7:30 p.m. non-conference match against Lake Forest Wednesday, Oct. 7.
