Box Score FOND DU LAC, Wis. - Marian University women's volleyball (3-17, 1-3 NACC) was swept by Lake Forest by scores of 25-23, 25-19, and 25-23.
The Foresters recorded 15 total blocks in the match and held the Sabres to a .016 hitting percentage in the win.
The first set saw back-and-forth action with seven ties, but it was LFC who was able to score the final two points of the set to earn the set win. The Foresters hit .300 to open the match with 12 kills to only three errors.
The Sabres nearly came back from a 21-11 deficit in the second set scoring eight of the final 12 points in the set but the early LFC lead was too much to overcome.
Marian then used a 9-0 run to take a 21-15 lead in the third set and look poised to force a fourth set. LFC was able to come back, however, scoring 10 of the final 12 points in the set with four blocks.
