FOND DU LAC, Wis. –Nicole Paulus scored a game-high 19 points on 5-of-11 shooting from beyond the arc to lead Marian past Lawrence 57-28 Tuesday evening at Sadoff Gymnasium.

The Sabres started fast and quickly pounced on the overmatched Vikings.

Midway through the first quarter the Sabres held a 9-7 lead, but closed out the remaining five minutes on a 16-0 run and led 25-7 after one complete.

MU continued its dominance in the second quarter and led 36-10 at intermission.

The Sabres ' largest lead of the game was at 5:34 in the third quarter with a 47-10 advantage.

The Blue and White used a stingy defense to pester the Vikings. MU held LU to 20 percent (10-of-49) from the field, while the Sabres hit 35 percent (19-of-54) of their shots.

Brittany Bauman chipped in 11 points and grabbed five rebounds.

Marian returns to the hardwood on Saturday at Mount Mary.
