FOND DU LAC, Wis. - Marian University women's hockey (1-1-0, 0-1-0 NCHA) hosted No. 10 Lake Forest in their home opener, but fell to the Foresters by a final of 7-0.

The Foresters scored three power plays in the game including a pair in the final minute of the first period to extend their lead out to 3-0.  Marian sent 11 shots on net with four players sending two apiece.

Ali Glazer started in net saving 24 shots sent her way in 31:38 of playing time.  Maddy Dixon replaced Glazer in the second period and turned away 22 of the 24 shots directed towards her in 28:22 of action.

Sheila Blower went 11-18 in the face off circle to lead the Sabres.

Marian will return to the ice for a weekend series with Saint Benedict Nov. 6-7 at Blue Line.  Puck drop for game one is scheduled for 7 p.m. with game two starting at 2 p.m.
