Box Score FOND DU LAC, Wis. - Marian University women's hockey (3-7-0, 0-5-0 NCHA) returned home for the first time after a lengthy road trip but fell to Adrian by a 6-0 final.
The Bulldogs were able to score a pair of goals in all three periods as they improved to 7-2-0 with a 6-1-0 NCHA record.
The Sabres played tight with the Bulldogs for a majority of the contest and were only outshot 24-22 for the game, and held a 10-8 shots advantage in the final period.
Ali Glazer started in goal for the Sabres making three saves before Lindsey Strainis replaced her adding 15 saves.
Courtney Wittig had a game-high seven shots, while Jessie Meluch had 11 wins in the face off circle.
Marian concludes the season series with Adrian tomorrow, Saturday, Dec. 5, with a 4 p.m. puck drop at Blue Line.
