DE PERE, Wis. – The Marian men's soccer team scored three second-half goals and topped St. Norbert 3-0 Wednesday evening in a final tune-up before conference play begins this weekend.

10 minutes into the second period of play Zach Peltonen fed Alonso Fragoso a nice ball who drilled it home for his sixth goal of the season and Sabres maintained a lead it wouldn't relinquish.

At 78:41 Jeroham Duran blasted a shot from 35 yards out and the Sabres added to their lead.

10 minutes later Duran started a give-and-go that Peltonen cleanly finished for his fifth goal of the season and the Sabres cruised to the win.

Freshman Ian Chacon faced a tough St. Norbert (3-2-1) attack and pitched his second shut out in a row, while finishing with a match-high six saves.

MU (5-1) return to the pitch Saturday and plays host to Concordia Chicago.
