CUC was able to get on the board first with an unassisted goal from Allison Kruk and nearly scored a second but found the post bringing the score to 1-0 at the half.

Concordia held the shots advantage in the first half by a margin of 7-3.

Marian found themselves down 2-0 after a 67th minute goal from the Cougars before a goal from freshman forward Carley Schmit cut the deficit in half at 2-1 three minutes later.  The Schmit goal was her fourth of the season and her third goal in the past three games.

The Sabres offense picked up the pace in the final minutes but the come back fell short with the final score settling at 2-1.

Concordia finished the game with a 15-7 advantage in shots and recorded six corner kicks.

Junior goalkeeper Alysha Kallas recorded a game-high eight saves in the loss.

The Sabres remain in NACC play when they travel to MSOE Wednesday, Sept. 23 at MSOE for a 7 p.m. kick off.
