Box Score 2 LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Marian University women's volleyball (0-3, 0-0 NACC) opened the Forester Invitational, hosted by Lake Forest College, with losses to MSOE (25-17, 25-17, 25-14) and UW-River Falls (25-12, 25-16, 25-20).
In the first match of the day the Sabres found themselves against a familiar foe in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference opponent MSOE. The Raiders were able to use extended runs in all three sets as they were able to improve to 4-0 on the season.
Junior outside hitter Catelyn Brehm was able to lead the way for Marian with 10 kills, while junior libero Emily Dreier was able to produce a game-high 17 digs.
Junior outside hitter Jessica Roberts and Brehm each record nine kills in the second match of the day but the Sabres would fall to UW-River Falls in straight sets. Dreier would set another game-high with 17 digs for the second consecutive match in the loss.
Marian returns to action tomorrow, Saturday, Sept. 5, with a match against Greenville at noon and host Lake Forest at 2 p.m.
