FOND DU LAC, Wis. – Marian University women's basketball struggled to find an offensive groove and fell 68-39 versus Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference rival Lakeland Wednesday evening.

The Muskies (10-8, 9-4 NACC) led 28-14 at intermission and outscored the Sabres 27-12 in the third quarter.

As a team the Sabres grabbed 37 rebounds and scored 14 points in the paint. MU shot 31 percent (16-of-51) from the field and went to the free-throw line twice and converted both of its attempts.

Nicole Paulus scored 15 points on 5-of-13 shooting from the floor. Jordan Weidner added 10 points and was 2-for-2 from the 3-point line.

Bailey Grayvold scored 15 points to lead LC.

MU (5-13, 3-10 NACC) returns to action Jan. 30 at Alverno.
