FOND DU LAC, Wis. – Benji Ibarra scored the game-winning goal at 37:05 in the first half and the Dominican Stars edged the Marian University men's soccer team 1-0 Saturday afternoon on a wet and soggy Smith Field.

There wasn't a lot of offense in the game, with both teams combining for 15 shots. The Stars (5-2-2, 4-0-0 NACC) outshot the Sabres 6-2 in the first half, however, MU put the pressure on in the second half and outshot the visitors 4-3.

Despite the muddy conditions, the contest didn't lack in physicality with 32 total fouls.

Eric Rodriguez led the Sabres with three shots and narrowly tied the game in the waning moments.

The Sabres return to action Wednesday vs. Edgewood.
