FOND DU LAC, Wis. – The Marian University women's volleyball team started slow and wasn't able to climb out of an early hole and suffered a 25-22, 25-13, 22-25, 25-12 setback against Maranatha Baptist in a non-conference match Saturday afternoon at Sadoff Gymnasium.

Hannah Buntrock and Catelyn Brehm each performed well for the Sabres.

Brehm finished with a team-high 16 kills and a .361 hitting percentage. Buntrock added 15 kills with a team-high .440 hitting percentage.

As a team in set three the Sabres (4-15) hit .314 and limited their mistakes with only four errors.

Katy Funkhouser helped out with seven kills and three digs, while Amber Baker handed out 23 assists.

Alison Renz finished with a game-high 23 kills to lead Maranatha Baptist (11-4).
