FOND DU LAC, Wis. – Jake Santellano scored at 65:36 in the second half and UW-Whitewater edged Marian 1-0 Saturday afternoon in a non-conference match at Smith Field.

The Warhawks outshot the Sabres 14-5, including 10-3 in the second half. The first half was played at a slower pace and UWW narrowly outshot MU by a 4-2 margin.

Alonso Fragoso recorded two shots on net and Grant Meerdink and Muhammed Abshir each added a shot.

It was also Senior Day and the Sabres honored Salvador Navarro, Gustavo Carmona, Emmanuel Zepada, Ramon Sutherland, Nick Pizano, Tanner Pagendam and Sam Kusik at halftime.

Marian returns to action Wednesday and play host to Concordia Wisconsin at 7 p.m. The "Voice of the Sabres" Wade Bates will have the call, with pregame beginning at 6:50 p.m. on the Marian Sports Network.
