Box Score MEQUON, Wis. – The Marian University women's soccer team rallied late in the second half, but fell short and Concordia Wisconsin edged the Sabres 2-1 in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference action.
CUW (4-9-1, 4-3-1 NACC) scored two goals in the opening 20 minutes and went into halftime with a 2-0 lead.
The Sabres 4-10-0, 2-6-0 NACC) put the pressure on in the final moments of the second half and it was rewarded when Briana Pawlowski received a high cross from Molly Kovarik and she connected on a header for her second goal of the season.
Alysha Kallas made a match-high eight saves and Pawlowski also added four shots.
The Sabres return to the pitch Saturday at Benedictine.
