ADRIAN, Mich. - Marian University women's hockey (3-7-0, 2-5-0 NCHA) dropped the final game of the season series against No. 4 Adrian 6-1.

The Bulldogs struck early as they took a 4-0 lead heading into the third period.  The Adrian offense and defense was clicking as they outshot the Sabres 26-8 through two periods.

Sophomore Abbey Dokken opened the scoring in the third period with her third goal of the season with an assist to junior Paige Johnson.  Adrian answered, however, netting a pair of goals to set the final at 6-1.

The Bulldogs finished with a 42-19 shots advantage with senior Maddy Dixon (1-2-0) stopping 36 of the shots sent her way.

Marian plays their final home game of 2016 hosting St. Norbert Wednesday, December 7 at 8 p.m. from Blue Line.
