Box Score FOND DU LAC, Wis. - Wisconsin Lutheran jumped out fast and Marian University women's basketball (1-5, 0-3 NACC) couldn't keep up in an 85-38 loss.
The Warriors opened the game scoring 13 unanswered points as part of a 23-2 run that gave them a 25-4 lead heading into the first break. WLC continued their hot shooting in the second quarter to close out the first half shooting 20-38 (.526) and holding the Sabres to only 4-31 (.129) from the field.
The Sabre offense found it's stride early in the third quarter scoring on four of their first five possessions, but the first half deficit was too much to overcome eventually leading to an 85-38 final.
Freshman Carley Wilson narrowly missed out on a double-double to lead the Sabres with 11 points and nine rebounds.
Marian opens a five-game homestand Saturday, December 10 traveling to Rockford for a 2 p.m. tip.
