Box Score RIVER FOREST, Ill. – Nicole Paulus scored a game-high 16 points but Concordia Chicago topped Marian 64-51 Saturday afternoon.
CUC opened up a 17-6 first quarter lead and the Sabres were left playing catch-up the remainder of the contest.
Brandi Bender hit a jumper as time expired in the second quarter and the Sabres trailed 36-22 at the break.
Lindsay Vogels opened the scoring in the third quarter with a 3-pointer to bring the Sabres to within 36-25.
The Sabres outscored the Cougars 20-18 in the fourth quarter. Paulus scored nine points, Hunter Godfroy helped out with five points and Brittany Bauman chipped in four points.
Lauren Orr scored 15 points to lead CUC (8-13, 6-10 NACC).
MU (5-16, 3-13 NACC) returns to the hardwood Wednesday and plays host to Edgewood at 7 p.m.
