MILWAUKEE, Wis.—In a final tune-up before the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Tournament the Marian University women's tennis team easily downed Beloit 9-0, but suffered a 7-2 setback against UW-Stout.
"We got off to a slow start against UW-Stout," MU head coach Marcus Wiegert said. It was good to see Meg and Alissa pick up victories at No. 1 and No. 2 singles. We did quite well against Beloit. Overall, it was a step in the right direction. We need to have a good week of practice in preparation for our first conference tournament match next Sunday."

It was more of the same in singles for MU. No. 1 singles saw Hartzell easily win 6-0, 6-0 and No. 2 singles saw Heid win 6-1, 6-3.
