FOND DU LAC, Wis. – The Marian University softball team was swept in the final non-conference series of the year by UW-Oshkosh and lost by scores of 5-0 and 11-1 Tuesday evening at Smith Field.

In the backend of the doubleheader the Titans (23-7) scored seven runs in the top of the second inning and never looked back.

Emily Gorges added MU's lone run in the bottom of the third with an RBI single to left field.

Gorges, Olivia Hartley and Sara Terrian picked up hits for the Sabres.

In game one UWO scored three runs in the top of the sixth and put the game out of reach.

Tana Vanden Heuvel, Tiffani Castillo and Rachel Soch each picked up a hit.

MU (20-16) returns to the diamond Thursday at Wisconsin Lutheran.
