FOND DU LAC, Wis. - Marian University women's volleyball (6-13, 2-6 NACC) had a tough time slowing down the WLC offense falling in four sets; 25-12, 14-25, 25-17 and 25-13.

Each set in the match was decided by a wide margin with the Warriors jumping out fast in the opener.  WLC hit .467 in the first set and kept the Sabre offense at bay with constant side outs.  Marian responded in the second set opening with a 9-3 run. 

Marian responded in the second set opening with a 9-3 run.  The Warriors would cut the lead to four at 16-12 before the Sabres went on a 8-0 run with freshman Jenna Moehn at the service line.  Junior Alexandra Meidl closed out the set with a kill and finished with six kills in the set off of a .545 hitting percentage.

After WLC opened the third set with an 8-5 lead, the Warriors would continue to roll with an 8-3 run that allowed them to cruise to the set win.  In the fourth, however, Marian started fast with a 5-2 lead to open the set, but WLC then went on an 11-0 streak to take a commanding lead.  The Warriors would close out the match scoring the final six points of the set.

Meidl once again led the attack with a team-high 14 kills and .310 hitting percentage, while freshman Cheyenne Henson and sophomore Jenna Skroski each had 13 digs in teh back row.

Marian is next in action when they travel to Maranatha Baptist Tuesday, Oct. 17 for a 7 p.m. non-conference match.
