MILWAUKEE - Marian University softball (27-15, 13-9 NACC) hung around in the first couple innings, but a late push from CUW gave the Falcons a 7-0 win.

The Falcons would push across a pair of runs in the second but a five-run fifth inning propelled CUW to the convincing win.

A double from senior Sara Terrian and a single from freshman Gianna Esposito would be the only base hits the Sabre offense could manage, while freshman Paige Rauhut (12-6) would hold CUW to two earned runs and only three hits over 4.0 innings.  Fellow freshman Paige Michaelson worked around a pair of hits to throw a shutout inning in her NACC Tournament debut.

Marian returns to the field tomorrow, Friday, May 5, for a 9 a.m. elimination game against Aurora from Alverno Field.
