Box Score

LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Marian University women's hockey (4-15-0, 3-9-0 NCHA) was swept by Lake Forest dropping the finale of the series by a 5-0 final.

The Foresters opened the game fast scoring five goals in the opening period with four of the goals coming in the second half of the period.  LFC would manage one power play goal during the fast start.

From there, however, neither team would manage to find the back of the net leading to the 5-0 final.  Marian would be held shotless in the opening period but managed to send 14 shots on frame between the final two periods.

Junior Lindsey Strainis took the loss in goal making 12 saves in the first period before freshman Lindsay Lewison stopped all 25 shots she faced in the final two periods.

Nine different Sabres recorded a shot in the loss led by freshman Megan Cook who had four shots on frame.

Marian continues their road trip with a two-game series at Aurora Feb. 3-4 with puck drop at noon for both games.
