FOND DU LAC - Marian University women's volleyball (9-15, 4-8 NACC) rallied after dropping the first two sets but fell to Edgewood in a decisive fifth set.  The final set scores would close out at 25-23, 25-15, 22-25, 17-25, and 15-10.

The Sabres led for most of the opening set taking a 22-20 advantage after a serving error from the Eagles.  Edgewood was able to close out the set strong with a 5-1 run and then closed out the second set with an 8-0 run.

Edgewood looked ready to secure a sweep leading 18-13 before Marian rattled off five-straight points to tie the set.  After the score was tied at 20-20, Marian took advantage of several Eagle errors and closed out the set with a 5-2 run to stay alive.

The fourth set was all Marian as the Sabre offense came alive for their best set of the night.  The Sabres would record 13 kills off of a .250 hitting percentage led by five kills from junior Sara Komosa.  The winner-take-all fifth set was back-and-forth to start but the Eagles once again put together a strong finishing claiming the victory with a 5-1 run to end it.

Senior Alexandra Meidl closed out her career as a Sabre with another strong performance recording a match-high 14 kills.  From the back row, four different Sabres would finish in double-figure digs led by freshman Brooklyn Taylor who had a match-high 21 digs.  Komosa and junior Jenna Skroski each added 19 and 17 digs, respectively.

Junior Amber Yahr closed out the year with a double-double recording 35 assists with 12 digs to go with a pair of service aces.
