AURORA, Ill. - Marian University women's volleyball (6-8, 2-3 NACC) was defeated by Aurora in straight sets with set scores of 25-14, 25-15, and 25-14.

The Sabre offense would have a tough time getting past the Aurora defense in the loss as the Spartans held Marian to a -.044 hitting percentage.  Junior Kaitlyn Kelley paced the Sabre offense with six kills while hitting .333 for the match.  Senior Alexandra Meidl also added in five kills to go with a solo block and block assist. 

From the defensive side, junior Jenna Skroski led the way with a team-high nine digs with Meidl chipping in six.  Fellow junior Amber Yahr assisted 16 of the 19 Marian kills and had three kills herself with five digs and a service ace.

Marian takes the weekend off before playing at Alverno Tuesday, Oct. 2 for a 7 p.m. first serve.
