MANITOWOC, Wis. - Marian University men's basketball (0-3, 0-0 NACC) rallied to force overtime but fell to Holy Family by a 77-71 final.

After a three-pointer from senior Trentin Fouse gave the Sabres a 7-6 lead, Holy Family scored 10 unanswered points to take a 16-7 advantage with 9:05 left in the first half.  The Lakers built their lead out to double-digit on a couple of occasions but the Sabres were able to limit the deficit to 30-21 at the half.

After Holy Family bumped their lead out to 15 at 43-28, the Sabres were able to mount a comeback.  The Sabres immediately went on a 13-3 run to cut their deficit down to five points with 10:35 left to play.  Marian tied the game shortly after at 54-54 with another 10-2 spurt.  Neither team led by more than four points down the stretch with a jumper from junior DeAndre Ross forcing overtime at 64 apiece.

The Lakers opened the extra period scoring eight of the first 10 points.  The Sabres were able to cut the deficit down to as little as five but were unable to rally from this early hole.

Ross had a strong game for the Sabres going 9-14 (.643) from the field for a game-high 21 points.  Junior Logan Hamilton added 16 points off the bench, while fellow junior Justin Wilson also added 13 points off the bench.  The Sabres would have 41 of their points come off of the bench.

Marian hosts UW-La Crosse in their home opener Tuesday, Nov. 19 for a 7 p.m. tip-off from Sadoff Gym.
