The Sabre offense got stronger as the match went along but had a tough first set falling 25-18 with a negative hitting percentage.   The second set saw a 7-2 Sabre run erase a 16-11 deficit and tie the set at 18-18.  From there, neither team led by more than two points but Marian was only able to hold off one set-point opportunity falling 26-24.

Marian jumped out to an early 6-1 lead to open the third set only to have Lawrence score six-straight points to take a 7-6 advantage.  The Sabres were able to regain the lead and hold a slight advantage for most of the set out to a 22-20 tally.  From there, the Vikings were able to rally using a 5-1 stretch to close out the match.
