Box Score RIVER FOREST, Ill. - Marian University women's basketball (4-20, 4-15 NACC) fell in their final road game of the season 70-57 at Dominican.
It was another slow start that proved to be the difference for the Sabres as Marian would make just one field goal in the opening quarter as Dominican opened with a 21-4 lead. The Sabres had a strong bounce back in the second quarter outscoring the Stars 20-10 to cut their halftime deficit down to 20-10.
The third quarter saw Dominican extend their lead after scoring five more points in the stanza before both offenses had strong final quarters. Marian would cut their deficit down to nine on several occasions in the quarter but the 20 Sabre points wouldn't be enough to rally.
Sophomore Paris Harris recorded a team-best 15 points in the defeat, while senior Carley Wilson grabbed 11 boards.
Marian closes out the season hosting MSOE Saturday, Feb. 22 for a 4:15 p.m. tip in NACC action.
