Box Score PLYMOUTH, Wis. - Marian University men's soccer (5-11-0, 2-9-0 NACC) scored the opening goal but Lakeland scored three unanswered goals to defeat the Sabres 3-1.
Freshman Giuliano Corazzina opened the scoring early for the Sabres finding the back of the net at the 10:48 mark for his 11th goal of the season. Fellow freshman Drew Cowden earned an assist for the fifth time in the last five games as he earned his 11th helper of the year.
The Muskies found an equalizer in the 28th minute to send the two squads into a 1-1 tie at the half. The Sabres outshot Lakeland 7-5 in the half. Lakeland was then able to score in the 58th and 78th minute to earn a 3-1 victory.
The Sabres finished with a 14-10 advantage in shots for the game with Corazzina recording six of the Marian shots. Freshman Aden Jerome (2-6-0) made four saves in goal for Marian.
Marian closes out the season traveling to Edgewood Wednesday, Oct. 27 for a 7 p.m. kick-off.
